Policies
When it comes to the health and safety of our people and our clients, our safety standards aren’t just something that we talk about.
We live them.
Taking a top-down approach, we ensure that our health and safety policies guide our decisions every single day, with standards that we believe set the benchmark for the industry. We’re open and honest about our Health, Safety, and Environment Policy, and have laid it all out below, to ensure that we keep ourselves accountable for our actions.
Balancing Health, Wellbeing, and Work
We know that our operators put in long hours in their vehicles. Long hours in tough conditions. So the health and wellbeing of our people is paramount.
At Dharawal, we’re genuine about creating a safe and supporting workplace culture. Not just on the tools, but outside of the workplace, too. We do this by having regular check-ins with our team, and offering training topics that provide tips and education on how to keep safe and happy both at work, and at home.
For the future, we have plans to create spaces at our premises that promote physically and mentally healthy lifestyles. These plans include installing a commercial-grade gym, with a pool, a barbecue area, and a playground for kids.
Our goal is to make our premises a community hub, where our people can gather and relax, refuel and refresh. It’s all part of building a team that our employees are proud to be a part of, and a workplace they want to come to.
Our Health, Safety and Environment Policy (HSE)
At Dharawal, we’re committed to ensuring that our employees, contractors, and anyone who visits our work areas are safe from injuries and risks to their health, and any risks to the environment.
Environment
We ensure that our operations are conducted and maintained in an environmentally sustainable and responsible manner. We do this by identifying, where practicable, and eliminating aspects of our operations that may either pollute or in any way degrade the surrounding environment, so that regulatory requirements are met and where possible exceeded.
